What is Creatine?

Creatine is one of the most well-researched supplements, supporting muscle strength, performance, and cognitive function. Your body naturally makes and stores it in your muscles, where it helps you power through high-intensity workouts but diet alone doesn’t always provide enough. That’s where Happy Way comes to the rescue!

How do you take Creatine Powder?

Our unflavoured version blends seamlessly into almost anything. From your drink of choice like juice, coffee, tea, or smoothies, to foods such as baked goods, soups, and more. For best results take it daily. Approximately 3-5g a day.

What are the benefits of Creatine Powder?

Supplementing with Creatine Powder may help support:

  • Building muscle mass
  • Boosting high-intensity performance
  • Speed up muscle recovery
  • Improve cognitive processing & reduce the severity of a concussion

For more information on the benefits of creatine supplementation, read our blog here.

Is Creatine just for athletes?

No! New research has discovered links between creatine and brain health.

Studies suggest supplementing with creatine can also help with:

  • Memory
  • Information processing
  • Overall cognitive function in adults
  • Improved focus

Think of creatine as fuel for your brain. More energy for your cells means potential benefits for memory and focus.

As with any supplement, we recommend speaking with your healthcare provider before commencing to ensure it’s right for you.

Do I need to supplement with Creatine?

You don’t have to but it can be really helpful.

Creatine is found naturally in foods like red meat and fish, but most people don’t get enough through food alone (especially if you train, eat plant-based, or live a busy life). It's always best to consult with a healthcare professional to determine if creatine supplementation is appropriate for your specific needs.

What is the Creatine Loading Phase?

Despite the myths, you don’t need to cycle creatine. Using it long term won’t make it stop working or reduce your body’s ability to use it. If you stop taking creatine, your levels will naturally drop after about 30 days. Cycling on and off can actually interrupt your routine, consistency is what delivers the best long-term results.

Can women use Creatine?

Duh! Women naturally have lower creatine levels. This is one of the main reasons why creatine can be so beneficial before menopause:

  • Boost strength and performance
  • Supports focus, mood and memory

During menopause creatine can help:

  • Maintain or improve muscle mass and strength (especially with resistance training)
  • Support bone health
  • Enhance brain function and mood

Will I gain weight if I use Creatine?

Fear of weight gain is common, but research shows that creatine does not typically cause fat gain or significant body weight changes. Small scale changes are unlikely but might be (1-2kg). Just remember it’s water and muscle, not fat.

Can I take Creatine with other supplements?

Yes, Creatine can be taken alongside most other supplements. However, if you’re taking other products that contain creatine or have any specific health conditions, it’s best to consult your healthcare professional.

Can I take Creatine while pregnant/breastfeeding?

We don’t recommend supplementing with our creatine powder during pregnancy or breastfeeding. For further information, we always recommend consulting a healthcare professional to determine what’s safe for you and your baby.
